I came across this book The Brand Gap when I stumbled across The Skinny Confidential blog written by Lauryn Evarts and had been following her on her blog’s Instagram and Youtube Channel for a couple of weeks.
I like how her blog brand of sharing health & wellness tips and tricks was very consistent on all 3 platforms : her blog, Instagram and Youtube Channels.
So when she wrote a blog post on Branding the F out of your business and she recommended reading the Brand Gap written by , I was hooked. I knew I had to get the book and read it .
Plus I think it’s very helpful when someone shares articles or books that they have read that have helped them achieve results in their business. Because by reading something someone successful has found useful, we are leveraging off from their recommendations when it comes to enhancing our knowledge.
So I immediately order the book on my Kobo account, yes I can’t wait when it comes to books. I need them delivered ASAP so usually I always opt for Ebooks.
My hunger to get the book ASAP stems from my firm belief that investing in your own learning and growth through reading is the most valuable thing that you can ever do for yourself .
Especially when it comes to the topic of Branding , I didn’t have much clue on that particular topic and had associated brand with business cards, logo, design and marketing.
Well, after reading the book I just wanted to share some quick summary of this book with you guys .
I find that this book is a pretty valuable tool especially when you come out into the working world especially when you don’t come from a branding /marketing background and want a quick crash course on Branding 101.
At the very least you will be able to have some fundamental ideas on branding in marketing, and engage with your peers when it comes to talks about branding strategies and building a strong branding identity for the company you work for or even your own company in the future.
In addition to that , reading this book also shed some light that branding isn’t just restricted to how branding works for a company but also to strategically think how you are branding yourself as a valuable team member in the work force for your career longevity.
Its important to think about what is your brand name about ? How do you differentiate yourself from others? How do you cultivate a personal brand and successfully maintain it’s longevity
